Precious metals prices move continuously. Dealers hedge inventory and lock your order price when placed. If an order is canceled after a market move, market loss and cancellation policies may apply because the hedge position is already adjusted at order time.

Question 32

It’s not fair, you don’t pay me when the price goes up, why should I pay when it goes down?

Accepted Answer

Cancellation requests are usually linked to down-moves in metal prices after order lock. Market-loss policy is designed to cover risk created once pricing is fixed and hedges are adjusted.

Question 33

You cancelled my order even though I sent payment. Why is this?

Accepted Answer

In some cases payment does not arrive or cannot be verified in time. Notification attempts are made, but orders may be canceled if payment is not confirmed within required timelines.

What if your billing department cancels my order?

Accepted Answer

If billing cancels due to inability to authenticate payment, market-loss fees are generally not charged.

Accepted Answer

Pricing is based on spot price plus product premium. Premiums vary by mint, design, and product uniqueness, as well as dealer acquisition cost.
